Fourth Master Qin sounded surprised, “So quickly?”

He probed, “Did they provide crucial evidence last night?”

Qiu Tu chuckled, “There’s a misunderstanding, Fourth Master. The Political Division differs from other departments. While other departments follow the principle of ‘innocent until proven guilty,’ investigating first before making arrests, the Political Division operates on ‘guilty until proven innocent.’ With leads, we can arrest first and investigate later.”

Fourth Master Qin, taken aback, asked, “What if the investigation is wrong?”

Qiu Tu laughed, “Wrong? Impossible. Since its inception, the Political Division has never had a wrongful case.”

He lowered his voice, “Why do you think the Political Division’s interrogation room floor is always dark red?”

Even as a gang leader, Fourth Master Qin felt a chill down his spine at that moment. But he quickly laughed, “Then I’ll await your good news, Agent Qiu.”

He was about to hang up when Qiu Tu interrupted, “Don’t be hasty, Fourth Master. Let’s chat a bit more.”

Pausing briefly, Qiu Tu continued, “Fourth Master, you know I have dozens of people under me. We’ve been working tirelessly on this case. Don’t you think…”

Fourth Master Qin paused, then understood, laughing heartily, “Agent Qiu, you’re straightforward. Rest assured, the Qin family appreciates your hard work for New Realm City. You’ll soon receive a token of our gratitude. Please accept it.”

Qiu Tu smiled, “Thank you, Fourth Master. We civil servants are committed to solving every case and ensuring criminals don’t escape justice!”

With that, Fourth Master Qin ended the call.

Qiu Tu, hearing the beeping sound in his communicator, gradually withdrew his smile.

Expressionless, he pocketed the communicator and, instead of heading to the guard unit base, exited the Qin family estate with the documents.

As soon as he stepped out, a sleek black sedan pulled up in front of him.

Qiu Tu stopped and looked at the car.

The rear window of the sedan rolled down, revealing the face of Qin Zhengguang, the deputy director of the Investigation Department’s Security Division, from the second branch of the Qin family. He sat inside, staring intently at Qiu Tu.

Seeing Qin Zhengguang, Qiu Tu’s expression remained unchanged. He smiled and saluted, “Sir.”

Qin Zhengguang, slicked-back hair and dressed in a black suit, exuded an aura of authority. He acknowledged Qiu Tu with a slight nod, “Morning, Agent Qiu. You seem quite busy with your duties, often out and about?”

Qiu Tu responded with a smile, “The Political Division has heavy tasks, so we often work overtime, even when out on assignments.”

Qin Zhengguang said coldly, “Regardless of the workload, be thorough in your work. Don’t jump to conclusions. Investigate carefully to avoid trapping yourself.”

Qiu Tu continued to smile, “Thank you for your concern, Director. I’m not afraid of traps. After all, my life isn’t worth much.”

Qin Zhengguang looked deeply at Qiu Tu, then snorted and signaled his driver to start the car.

Just as the driver was about to drive off, Qiu Tu spoke again, “Director Qin, where are you headed?”

Qin Zhengguang glanced at Qiu Tu from the corner of his eye and replied, “To the department.”

Qiu Tu smiled, “Great, I’m headed there too. Could I trouble you for a ride?”

Without waiting for a response, he opened the front passenger door, sat down comfortably, and complained, “Having a car is so convenient! Without one, it takes at least three transfers and a ten-minute walk to get from the Qin family to the department. Such a hassle.”

Watching Qiu Tu adjust the seat and settle in, Qin Zhengguang was initially puzzled, then speechless.

This left Qin Zhengguang more perplexed about Qiu Tu’s intentions.
