Chapter 86- Great Sage Emperor’s Pill Vision
86 Chapter 86- Great Sage Emperor’s Pill Vision
Yang Chen's dark black eyes glossed over with a mysterious light.
"After finishing the book, I feel like I have a basic understanding of it" Yang Chen muttered to himself. Even though he understood the basics of Alchemy, understanding and being able to practice it was totally different thing.
It was like telling a guy who had just started studying about medicine, to create one.
"As I thought, one needed a teacher for it" Yang Chen sighed, he was just about to keep the book back inside his space ring when suddenly a window popped up in front of him.
[A unique item has been detected… collecting data]. [Ding… collection successful. A hidden intent has been found, it is possible to create a skill].
[Ding… Do you want to learn, the Great Sage Emperor's pill vision? Yes/No]…
With his mouth agape, Yang Chen stared at the widow in shock. After reading the first book about alchemy, he understood how difficult it was to become an alchemist and was thinking about giving up, when this window appeared in front of him shattering all of his preconceptions.
To think that the Greedvil system was even able to compile and create a skill from the data of a book? He once again realised how incredible the system was.
To be able to become an alchemist just by learning this skill. Yes, of course yes.
Yang Chen pressed the button without any further delay. Immediately, a vast amount of knowledge entered his brain causing him to have a slight headache. Though compared to his excitement, this pain wasn't much.
The process was similar to learning a new Battle Skill, after a while it registered in his character sheet as a Divine skill.
With the aid of the system, Yang Chen faced no trouble acquiring the skill, his only concern was that… "A divine skill huh". It was understandable that the Great Sage Emperor's Pill Vision didn't appear in the list of his battle skills since it wasn't one. But to think that it would create a whole new category for itself, the skill seemed quite special. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
'Well, it did have divine attached to it so it cannot be ordinary' Yang Chen thought. Now with the addition of another category, his character sheet looked somewhat like this.
On the top right corner, displayed inside a rectangular box was his body with all of his veins, muscles, bones and constitution displayed.
On the top left corner neighbouring the box, were letters that recorded his Name, Age, Cultivation, Secret art, Battle Skills, the newly appeared category Divine Skill and…
"Oh… when did this category appear?".
There was another new category that appeared at some unknown point in time in his character sheet called the Spiritual skills.
The field was empty because he hadn't learned any spiritual skills yet; nonetheless, it was a new category.
"It must have appeared after I learned the Great Sage Emperor's Pill Vision" Yang Chen surmised. There was no other explanation.
In any case, having another category of skill was a good thing since it meant that he had more ways of getting stronger. The field was empty now but Yang Chen planned to investigate about the Spiritual Skills later and fill the field.
For now, he decided on focusing on the new Divine Skill that he just learned. Although he didn't intend for it to happen, he was somehow able to learn Alchemy in the form of a skill. Now then, if he didn't use it, he wouldn't be able to settle down.
But it was not so easy to practice Alchemy, one needed to complete many requirements and tools for that. One of those requirements was to possess a flame attribute battle skills. It seemed that other than grades (eg- Earth, Sky, Heaven etc), the battle skills also had attributes to them such as Flame, lighting, Wind, Dark and such.
Most of the Battle Skills that Yang Chen currently possessed thanks to the ring, was mostly all dark attribute with neutral skills in the mix. Hence he needed a flame attribute battle skill to even start practising Alchemy.
As the proverb goes, beggars cannot be choosers. An ordinary person would find it extremely difficult to even get their hands on a battle skill, forget about having the liberty to be picky.
However, this didn't apply to Yang Chen who possessed the Greedvil System. He immediately opened the [Shop], slid over to the [Battle Skills] section and started choosing amongst the numerous options listed.
Because of the numerous skills listed, it took some time. But after ploughing through for a while, he found a list of flame attribute battle skills.
"[Fiery Destruction Palms], a low tier earth grade battle skill… next. [Fury Fire Blast], Intermediate Tier Earth Grade battle skill… next. [Flame Lion Fist]… next. High Tier Earth Grade… next. Low Tier Sky grade… Intermediate Sky Grade… High Tier Sky Grade".
Yang Chen went through a variety of battle skills. Although very costly, he even went through some heaven grade battle skills too. And after a while, he was faced with another conundrum, which battle skill to pick?
Even if he removed the Heaven Grade skills from the list because of their sky high cost, it still left him with numerous battle skills to pick from. Sometimes having too many options can also become a problem and yang chen was facing exactly that.
He did not know which battle skill to pick, and which ones would be good for practising Alchemy. During times like these, Yang Chen really missed Amon. If the latter was here he would have easily picked the best ones out for him.
But sadly, the guy was no longer with him for some reason. Yang Chen had to make a decision himself.
After glossing through the battle skills and reading their description, he left it to fate and picked out a battle skill that he personally thought was good.
[Great Napalm Command], it was a High Tier Sky Grade Battle skill and was the most versatile out of all the options.
According to the description, it can create flames powerful enough to be compared with hellfire. If you like the novel.. throw some power stones and Golden Tickets towards this way... Much Appreciated.
