Chapter 306: Taste of Despairing Chasm, Rightful Arrogance
"Come on!"
Erix floated amidst the chaotic flows of energies while his deathly and life aura became prominent around him.
His attacks were like an unstoppable force of demise, utterly unavoidable.
Rin was invincible because no attacks could touch her.
Everything within a hundred of hers would slow down and become insignificant, easily avoidable attacks for her.
Not to mention that she could move like a lightning bolt, especially the powerful lighting bearing additional attributes of blood and shadow—thanks to the Crimson Onyxbolt attribute concept.
As for her attacks, they were unblockable because of the ultimate penetrative style of her attacks, especially because of her Blade concept's 'Severum' effect.
Rin and Erix were buffed by a random speed burst recovery buff of Mark of Paradox—Aspect: Resonate.
Lily was like a mist, covering a large area in her misty field mixed with snow.
Since she also gained her Super Exotic Element, Liviort!
The combination of Mist x Ice x Life!
Several people who were struck by her Liviort element's proper attack had their blood, cells, and everything turned into frost.
This element was in the form of misty light blue particles with a faint natural green hue.
The defense formed by Liviort was unbreakable due to its ever-regenerative properties and adaptability thanks to ice's core principles that held myriad flexibility capable of turning solid.
As for her attacks…Lily had two concepts: Weave and Disperse—one granted her a massive scope of creativity, and another was in the direction of offense.
With weave, Lily waved projectile of attack with her foundational knowledge of magic, easily creating skills equivalent to Tier-5.
Disperse applied into the core of her every skill, granting them a conceptual effect to disperse the skill's area size to bigger and even affecting other skills, causing their energies to disperse.
This granted her skills an effect that shaved at various defenses, making her powers go past them with Mist's invasive and light properties. Mist element was an example of 'Dispersion' in physical form, but in conceptual form, Mist and Dispersion's combination proved scary, especially when she added frost of Ice in her attacks.
Lily's White Death title came from her deadly and silent attacks that were swift and unstoppable, leaving nothing but sharp frosty mist behind that could damage one just by entering the mist as if those tiny particles in the mist were like the sharpest and most condensed micro droplets.
But all of her attacks went a high notch above with the Liviort element!
Lastly, Aria was straightforward.
Her Animated Spirits each had a wisp of soul and mixed elemental powers boosted by Aria's soul and spirit power, which were massive when compared to Royal-order hunters present here.
She had designed four properly structured Animated Spirits in her Spirit Soul Book, each having arrays of capabilities.
Elemental Dragons, Brilliant Blue Whale, Myriad Fish Pool, and Havoc Birds.
Elemental Dragons were all-rounder but mostly offensive. They acted according to their structures because Aria had Water, Fire, Wind, Earth, and Light elements.
The dragons used various elemental attacks according to their core shaped by Animus + other elements. They were conjured more compactly and were the main combat force.
The Brilliant Blue Whale was a single Animated Spirit, with its core consisting of Water, Wind, and Light elements shaped by Animus. It consumed most of Aria's energies but granted a healing buff to her Animated Spirits and others within range along with a defensive shield and barrier when needed.
Myriad Fish Pool produced exotic tiny koi fish. Each had two singular abilities according to their core elements.
A fish would self-explode with related elemental effects that it possessed to either trigger the enemy skill projectile to waste its energy or self-explode near an enemy in an outward and potent fashion to inflict damage.
The fish were sort of expendable soldiers.
Lastly, Havoc Birds. They were long-range soldiers with only a single purpose: Attack.
They flew and maneuvered accordingly while shooting various types of projectiles from their mouths or eyes, depending on their core's elements.
Their formation had instruction and real objectives sentient by Animus element, so they were annoying because all they focused on was dodging, maintaining distance, and attacking relentlessly.
When Erix, Rin, Lily, and Aria began their attacks, those roughly five thousand Royal-order hunters only had a short-lived chance to fight back.
After all, once they saw the devastation spread by them, especially Erix, the enemies started losing confidence.
Erix was an utter nightmare for everyone, and the pulses of power his aura spread were unnerving everyone, especially since the initial three-hundred-something deaths boosted his power further.
Gaining Death and Life power every second, Erix's attacks that had Death-attributed became more potent while his Life Heart remained full thanks to the increasing life power.
"No!"
Addler aimed for Erix as he floated two kilometers away and saw Erix's punch obliterating three people at once.
'This is my trump card,' Addler pointed his finger at Erix after eating a pill and wearing a glove in his right hand.
The magical glove was a one-time-use item, a pure offensive boost glove.
However, Erix suddenly disappeared from his vision, and not even a second later, he felt a chill at his back.
"That's not gonna work."
Addler turned around and saw Erix leisurely sitting on a makeshift dark gold bone throne.
"I can sense your intentions, so you can never ambush," Erix yawned and leaned back on the throne.
Meanwhile, the five Gauntlets floating around him continued to release destructive punch projectiles.
Most of the people were simply running away from those punches and trying to destroy them by working together.
Those who attacked Erix would lose their life a second later because Erix teleported behind them and gave them death.
"You will also meet someone in the future," Addler said with great frustration displayed in his eyes, "Someone who will show a difference. A bigger mountain than you."
Erix raised his eyebrows before he burst out laughing. "I'm sure I'll meet people like that in the future."
"But the only difference between you and me would be that…." Erix cracked a grin. "Unlike you, who is filled with frustration, I'll be filled with fires of excitement."
"Good luck in your next life."
*Boom!*
The battle only started for two minutes, but a seed of despair already started sprouting in them as they saw deaths spreading among them.
The Royal-order hunters felt a wide chasm of power between them and those four people.
In the 3rd minute, people started running away, escaping from the aerial battlefield.
"Stop!"
"Get back, you idiots!"
"Work together properly! Use formations!"
"I-It's no use, leader. They have crazy perceptions. Formation's weak spots are the child's place for them to find and easily destroy!"
"No…I can't…"
After another minute, only the Empyrean-order hunters floated above the island, their faces ashen.
Erix, Rin, Lily, and Aria floated before them while they internally discussed.
'We can still destroy the island, but I don't know if it's worth it.'
'I don't know what to do. We need to kill that bastard, but none of us can touch him, thanks to Abyss rule. Damn it!'
As Lilith, Maleina, and Tenebria also arrived and faced the big shots, some of them showed hostility towards Lilith.
It was a stalemate lasting a couple of seconds as Erix and others just watched them with a hundred meters distance between the two groups.
'Should we threaten him after capturing those two Empyrean-order women? We can only fight them.'
"Hey," Erix shouted, attracting the so-called big shots' attention.
Crossing arms, Erix smiled at them.
His smile was in no way friendly.
It oozed out utterly cold and devious intent.
"You want this Blessed Island, but you can't do anything to me," Erix said as he slowly floated forward.
Rin and others watched with relaxation with a hint of thrill.
"And if you think you can capture my woman and threaten me with her, then let me assure you," Erix arrived before the group of Empyrean-order hunters, floating just ten meters away from them.
"The moment you decide to become ugly, I'll carve your presence, face, and everything in my soul," Erix said with a wide grin, "I'll find every single one of you and kill you."
His words were backed up by potential and confidence that was clear for them to see.
"Go ahead and make a move if you want your name in my death note," Erix floated above them, clearly looking down on them as his gaze oozed out arrogance.
"You all are scrubs to me. If I was in Empyrean-order, I would have started fighting you all," Erix grinned. "But lucky for you all, I am not there yet."
"But I'll become one soon and surpass you easily considering that I was just a normal human not even half a year ago, haha."
Erix turned around after saying that with a light laugh and floated back to his group, his voice carefree, "So, If you dare to attack the island and my woman, I'll end all of you in the future. That's my promise to myself."
"Write your doom now if you wish to. Haha, this offer is limited."
A second later, Erix teleported everyone back to the island, while the Empyrean-order powerhouses remained silent and watched the Blessed Island flying back to the central region of the core domain.
"Why didn't you attack them, Falcon Sword? Didn't you want revenge for your guild's members?"
Someone finally spoke, and it was a taunt.
"Fuck you! That bastard's potential is scary, and he seems crazy. Why the fuck would I risk my future for something I am not guaranteed to get?"
"I am leaving," a woman with a golden battle dress and white wings left.
A wolf-tribe beastfolk man also left.
Soon, everyone left at their own pace and speed.
The vying for Blessed Island ended sooner than expected. It resolved faster than any battles in the past.
…
On the other hand, it was finally the time of departure from the Abyss.
