After Xu Feng's proclamation regarding Yaren was not actually Yaren, but in fact, Earthrender, the competition turned completely silent.

A few seconds later, Earthrender's eyes flickered, the illusion of Yaren's form shimmering and distorting.

The surroundings wavered as if a mirage had been dispelled, revealing the towering figure of Earthrender standing amidst the crumbling platform.

Its jagged, stone-like body pulsed with a dim, molten glow, and its eyes burned with a fierce, unyielding light.

"Since when did you realize you are still in an illusion?" Earthrender questioned.

"From two points." Xu Feng raised his hand up and flashed two fingers.

"I suppose I haven't researched enough about her character. There's only so much information around that I could have worked with." He said, accepting that it was a flaw of his to attempt to overdo it in hopes of manipulating Xu Feng's emotions.

"The second point is also the most crucial one." Xu Feng smiled and explained, "You made a deal with Conductor Yaren, but you don't understand her personality. Amidst their confusion and disbelief, Xu Feng suddenly coughed and asked, "By the way, Earthrender. My companions never left in the first place, right? We should all be in the same passage except our consciousness is currently in a realm under your control."

Contrary to Yaren's laughter, Earthrender wasn't disappointed or mad that Xu Feng managed to figure it out.

As soon as he returned, Xu Feng noticed Carmen and Crimson Heart were both in a somewhat comatose state.

"Are you going to release them from your illusion?" Xu Feng questioned, keeping his composure.

Meanwhile, Earthrender finally materialized itself and appeared in front of Xu Feng with his real body.

"These two women are still undergoing the test," Earthrender replied.

"They might not pass with spectacular results like you, but they are progressing well." He continued and conjured a powerful barrier. Soon, the barrier turned transparent and Xu Feng saw two split screens, showing Carmen and Crimson Heart in a different type of illusion.

Carmen herself was starting to take notice of the weird surroundings and had already begun attacking the illusion of Xu Feng.

"Sorry, Guild Leader, but you are not the one I know," Carmen exclaimed, thrashing Xu Feng unexpectedly from behind.

The illusion Xu Feng coughed up a mouthful of blood, its expression filled with disbelief and agony.

"Why did you sneak attack me, Lunar Wraith?" He asked in a painful tone. "I never expected you to betray me like this after all the trust I placed in you."

The illusion Xu Feng held a pitiful appearance and seemed to be pleading for mercy in the meantime. "You don't have to do this, Lunar Wraith. If you're angry, then we can just sit down and talk properly."

"Oh please, the Guild Leader rarely calls me Lunar Wraith. And your pathetic appearance and tone are really disgusting." Carmen rolled her eyes and proceeded to launch a barrage of spells using her Elementalist as a medium to kill the illusion Xu Feng.

"The Guild Leader is always calm and composed. Never once would he plead mercy like the fake you are." She sneered, watching the illusion of Xu Feng dying and turning into tiny particles.

While Carmen was dealing with him, Crimson Heart on the other hand was even more ruthless.

It was set in the competition stage, and similar to what Xu Feng did. Crimson Heart paused her forging and suddenly activated stealth, lurking behind the concentrated illusion of Xu Feng.

Having snuck behind his illusion self, Crimson Heart didn't use her dagger or any weapon. Instead, she lifted her leg and kicked at the most painful area a man could ever experience: his balls.

Not expecting such a devious surprise attack, the illusion Xu Feng, who had been concentrating on forging, groaned in a shrieking voice. Following that was him kneeling down on the ground, his hands clutching his lower part.

"Hmph, as expected. You are not the real Guild Leader." Crimson Heart held a cold expression on her face as she witnessed the illusion's demise.

Meanwhile, back at the passage, Xu Feng constantly twitched his brows.

"So she noticed that's an illusion of mine, but still used such a ruthless attack?" He murmured, clearly realizing he needed to be extra careful in the future when interacting with her.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
