Jiang Hao glanced back and set his eyes on the national treasure, the Jizhou Cauldron.

What a magnificent treasure the Jizhou Cauldron was!

He rushed to its side and scrutinized it closely.

The cauldron had previously aided in subduing the Sovereign corpse, yet astonishingly, it had released the corpse at its behest, clearly demonstrating its capacity for discernment!

Anyone overhearing Jiang Hao’s musings would surely recommend a psychiatrist for him!

But the world had changed; it was no longer the tranquil place it once was.

Despite the System’s ongoing upgrade, its storage feature was still operational.

Without a hitch, he placed the Jizhou Cauldron into the System Space.

He then thoroughly scoured the ancient tomb, claiming the imperial sword from the Sovereign corpse among other treasures.

After a final sweep of the tomb to ensure nothing was overlooked, Jiang Hao confidently activated his skill and vanished in the blink of an eye.

Outside, Lee Yuanba was growing frantic, pressing his ear to the ground to catch any sound from below.

Suddenly, a figure materialized behind him, observing the scene with a peculiar look.

Sensing something amiss, Lee Yuanba whirled around, a shiver running down his spine. Bracing himself on one arm, he swiftly swept his right leg in a defensive move.

Jiang Hao, channeling his Supernatural Foot Power, darted forward dozens of meters and urgently cried out.

“Hold it!”

At the sound, Yuanba’s eyes snapped to the source. A wave of joy washed over him, and he burst out in elated surprise.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

“Big brother?”

He quickly dashed toward Jiang Hao.

Jiang Hao succinctly filled Lee Yuanba in on the underground situation, and Yuanba didn’t press for details.

“Let’s head out. We’ve accomplished what we came for; it’s time to head back.”

With that, Jiang Hao got ready to leave.

Just then, Lee Yuanba casually remarked.

“How odd, the spiritual energy seems to have thickened out of nowhere?”

But he didn’t dwell on it and prepared to follow Jiang Hao back.

His offhand comment, however, struck a chord.

Upon hearing it, Jiang Hao instinctively tuned in and, sure enough, he noticed the Spiritual Qi was indeed richer than before!

This must have occurred after he entered the ancient tomb.

Suddenly, Jiang Hao linked this to the system upgrade reminder.

He felt confident there was a significant connection between the two!

The system had warned of a major shift in the world following the upgrade. What kind of shift would it be?

The resurgence of spiritual energy was certainly one of the big changes.

Yet, this alone didn’t seem to warrant the system’s cautionary note.

It appeared that the revival of spiritual energy was merely the start!

Without further ado, Jiang Hao decided to head back quickly and start preparing.

Six hours later, Jiang Hao arrived home. His first order of business was to call Soong Wan and have her request leave to return.

Standing upstairs at that moment, bathed in bright sunlight, Jiang Hao felt the warmth did little to alleviate the heaviness in his heart.

Winter had set in, and the chill had crept into the north.

The garden bore a touch of bleakness amidst its beauty.
