In the underground well of the Root base.
Seeing his meticulously trained Root ninja, each considered elite, lying dead in pools of blood, Danzo's face was full of rage and killing intent.
But the next second, upon seeing the culprit responsible for all this, strolling leisurely as if on a picnic, Danzo's pupils slightly contracted.
He knew the strength of his Root ninja all too well.
Even someone as elite as Hatake Kakashi couldn't have killed so many without sustaining any injuries.
"Who exactly are you?"
Looking at the person still wearing "Sosuke's" face, Danzo couldn't help but repeat the question.
"Who am I?"
Gensou paused.
With the prey almost caught, he wasn't in a hurry.
Gensou first touched his own face, then raised an eyebrow and said, "Almost forgot, I'm still wearing this face."
"Since you're so desperate to know who I am, then I'll show you."
Gensou looked at Danzo with a smirk, and with a swipe of his right hand over his face.
The next second.
Under Danzo and his men's gaze, a younger but even more intimidating face appeared before them.
"Hagoromo Gensou!!!"
First to recognize him, Torune, in a shaken voice, identified the intruder, insects flying uncontrollably from his body due to his agitation.
Crack- Danzo's hand gripped his cane tightly, causing long cracks to form on it.
This man, feared, cursed, and hated across the ninja world, had finally made Danzo lose his composure, his face full of shock and surprise.
He never expected that the fish he caught following the Tobidara lead would be this big!
Feeling an unprecedented crisis, Danzo's body tensed. While his face remained composed, maintaining the dignity of a Konoha advisor, he coldly questioned, "Gensou! By breaking into the Root base and killing Root ninja, are you declaring war on Konoha?"
"War? Don't trivialize such a serious word." Gensou chuckled and shook his head, "A real war doesn't look like this."
Saying this, Gensou glanced around, his eyes sweeping over the corpses of Root ninja on the ground, and finally spread his hands, saying,
"In my eyes, it's just a one-sided slaughter, like butchering chickens."
Bang! Danzo couldn't hold back anymore, crushing the head of his cane in his grip, his face extremely grim.
"Arrogant! Gensou! This is no longer your era! You will regret today's actions!" "Attack!!"
With killing intent rising, Danzo decisively gave the order.
As for asking why Gensou had stormed in, given the connection between Tobidara and Aoi, he already knew the answer.
Indeed!
He had caught the right person.
Tobidara was a hidden threat, a tumor lurking within Konoha.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Despite knowing they faced the infamous Gensou, under Danzo's command, all the Root ninja attacked without hesitation.
Danzo stood his ground.
Knowing his men could only buy time, he swiftly removed the bandages from his right arm and unsealed the containers attached to it.
For Root, for Konoha, no matter how many subordinates died, he had to take down the extremely dangerous Gensou today! Once done, he would solve Konoha's crisis and uncover Gensou's secrets.

Golden sealing containers fell from his arm, hitting the ground with a thud. Feeling the overwhelming power surging through his arm, and touching his most precious right eye still wrapped in bandages, Danzo's eyes glinted with cold light as he looked at Gensou.
"Earth Release: Rock Rain!"
"Earth Release: Earth Flow River!"
"Lightning Release: Sixteen Pillar Bindings!"
...
Knowing Gensou possessed Dark Release, the Root ninja used more tangible and supportive
jutsu.
But it was still useless.
Unaware that Danzo was planning against him, Gensou casually punched out, shattering the Earth Flow Wall in front of him.
Before the hidden Root ninja could react, a fragment of the wall, flicked by Gensou, struck their forehead like a bullet, piercing their brain and creating a large hole, spilling blood and
brain matter.
"Genjutsu: Hell's Flames!"
Boom- Suddenly, Gensou found himself engulfed in fierce flames, swallowing half his body
in an instant.
Without feeling any pain, Gensou calmly watched, then turned to a nearby Root ninja, saying
flatly: "Not quite hot enough."
With those words, the flames on Gensou's body vanished.
Instead, the Root ninja suddenly began to struggle violently, collapsing after a few breaths,
lifeless.
To counter his imperfect soul, genjutsu was a good choice.
But it depended on who cast it.
The same genjutsu from an ordinary ninja and from Uchiha Itachi were worlds apart.
Casually breaking the neck of another Root ninja who rushed to stop him, Gensou looked at Danzo, who was fiddling with his right arm while heavily guarded by his men.
With Danzo around, Root members scattered throughout the base would keep coming to their
deaths.
Perfect for his plan to wipe out Root completely.
So, Gensou wasn't in a hurry.
But, Root members were not weeds that would keep growing back.
Counting the bodies on the ground, there shouldn't be many left. Time to speed things up.
As Gensou thought this, a purple figure charged at him.
Just as Gensou was about to strike, he sensed something and dodged for the first time.
"Pity."
Removing his protective suit, revealing his purple skin, Torune looked at Gensou with regret.
Unlike other clan members, Torune's body housed highly poisonous nano-sized insects due
to his special ability.
He was immune to the toxins, but anyone else who touched him would be infected, the toxins destroying cells and causing death.
Even the famous Gensou wouldn't be an exception.
But Gensou had sensed and avoided it.
"The Aburame clan's special nano insects? Impressive to make me feel threatened."
Gensou looked at Torune, a bit surprised.
But knowing the opponent's characteristics made dealing with him easy.
