Chapter 235 : Chat
"Delara?" Shane repeated the name on the chat as he recalled that she was the Clan Leader of the Serene Garden…
"None of their members died, huh…" He muttered as he imagined that the Serene Garden only had Survivors with Master Grade and above talent. It was probably a quality-over-quantity policy in that Clan.
Anyway, Shane continued checking the Regional Chat as he was curious about the places around here. Well, he was thinking that once the estate's defenses had been repaired, he would finally leave this shelter and explore the continent.
That way, he would find more information about Project Zero, the vaccine, and perhaps, he might even find Sofia or her remnants… He needed to end this Apocalypse, after all.
James: "Looking to trade my extra machine gun ammo for a sturdy backpack. Any takers? I need that backpack that has a weight reduction effect, one that's good for hiking… Just PM me if you have one."
Emily: "Just survived a close encounter with a Berserker Zombie in the last horde. My heart is still racing! It's a High-Tier Zombie! I didn't manage to kill it, but after the time ended, this Zombie was taken by a gray fog. Does anyone know how to kill that thing? I want to kill it someday…"
Mark Paul: "Selling a rare Unhatched Egg… Perfect for those who don't have pets yet. DM for details!"
Hannah: "Does anyone have tips for navigating the Sewer Tunnels in Sector 5? We need to avoid the Zombie Rats! They're weak, but if there are too many of them, I don't think we will survive that one. We escaped here during the Zombie Wave… Now, we needed help to leave this place alive…"
Emily: "Find Zombie Lures or trade tons of them so you can escape. Good luck, Hannah…"
Hannah: "That's a nice suggestion… I hope someone will sell a bunch of Zombie Lures."
Antonio: "Everyone. I'd like to announce that our Clan, Silver Sentinel was top 10 in the ranking in this Zombie Wave… If you want to join us or change clans, we can help you. If there's a penalty for leaving the clan, we will cover it for you. Just send me a message."
Jacob: "I'm In search of a reliable melee weapon. Willing to trade crafting materials or food supplies! All my weapons were destroyed from the last Zombie Wave. Survivor Store and Reputation Store don't sell any weapons. Please help me."
Shane paused for a moment as he felt that he could fulfill the Unhatched Egg, the Bag, and the Weapon requests.
He planned to send them a message to give them an offer, but he suddenly felt sleepy. Because of that, he decided to just leave them be and continued scrolling through the chat while yawning.
Jill Luis: "Just encountered a group of Spitter Zombies near the abandoned hospital in Sector 4. Stay alert out there, folks! I think something is happening. It's very weird that only a specific type of Zombie is gathering in that place. Be careful."
Oliver: "I found a bunch of guns in an abandoned police station. They're not purchased in the Survivor Store or Reputation Point Store, so they weren't in perfect condition. There's also limited ammunition. I'm trading all of them in exchange for Talent Expansion Scroll."
Liam: "Looking for fellow Survivors who had traveled around Sector 15… We're planning to find a different shelter since our current one is gone. I want to make sure that Sector 15 doesn't have Toxic Zombies or Frost Zombies… This Sector 4 is hell."
"Sector 4?" Shane repeated as he read the message. It appears that Sector 4 was really challenging. He might consider checking this area since he wanted to see what kind of loot they would give him.
Apparently, Region 1, where they are currently, was still divided by 20 sectors. According to the map, Shane was still in the Sector 1.
'Should I try going to Sector 4… That place looked more interesting.' Shane thought but he still had to consider a few things about this later on.
Ves: "Can you see our bonfire celebration near the Blue Lighthouse? Come and join us… We honor those we lost in the Zombie Wave. Remembering our fallen comrades. If you're near us, drop us a message… The Ember Order welcomes you…"
Ava: "Trading a set of advanced medical supplies for a high-quality firearm. DM if interested!"
Noah: "My Pet died… Does anyone know where to find a Turtle Pet? It had the effect of taking damage from its owner… My pet died protecting me."
Ves: "That's sad, Noah… Our Ember Order clan had ways of getting specific pets. We don't have Turtle right now, but we will soon have."
Just like that, Shane fell asleep while reading through the messages in the Regional Chat…
"Ugh~ I feel so refreshed…"
As Shane rose from his slumber, the tantalizing aroma of Alexa's cooking beckoned him to the kitchen…
He quickly washed for a bit to clean himself before going outside to where a hearty meal awaited. The savory scent of roasted meat and fresh bread filled the air, a comforting smell that made it feel like they didn't encounter a life-and-death situation last night.
"Good morning…"
Greeting Alexa with a grateful smile, Shane took his plate and savored each bite of the delicious breakfast, feeling a sense of gratitude for the simple pleasures brought by his companions...
The warmth of the meal and the functioning estate, even without his orders, was truly a blessing.
Stepping outside after breakfast, Shane gazed out at the mist-shrouded landscape surrounding the estate.
"The mist is too thick… I hope it's just a normal phenomenon." He muttered.
Then, after looking around the estate, he decided to finally check his Survivor Store.
Shane made his way to the reception area of the estate, where he decided to comfortably sit before opening his Survivor Store.
Just like the announcement that he got, the Survivor Store was meticulously organized into three distinct tabs, The Weapon Store, Nourishment Store, and the Random Item Store.
