The Martial Unity

Chapter 2462: Into the Heart

Chapter 2462: Into the Heart

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!

Each incoming wave of beasts was significantly cut down by devastating calamity-class siege weapons long before they could even enter the geographic vicinity of the Britannian Empire. The surviving majority were intercepted by Martial Artists who were closer to the border but were still far enough to ensure that the immediate devastation of their battle didn't harm the Britannian Empire.

BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM!!!

POW POW POW POW POW!!!

The Martial Artists of the Britannian Empire gritted their teeth as they experienced a battle that was radically different from anything they had ever dealt with in the third Great East Panamic War. Rather than having to deal with independent powerhouse Martial Artists, they had to deal with weaker and more limited beasts and monsters-an endless hoard of them.

It was one Martial Artist for dozens of beasts.

The only saving grace was that each Martial Artist was significantly stronger than each beast on average, else the Martial Artists would have been wiped out long ago. Yet, the pressure from the sheer quantity of beasts surging forth in a frenzied rampage was unlike anything they had ever experienced in their entire lives.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

It also meant that they had to deal with a wide range of threat-levels. After all, the power- levels of beasts and monsters were a smooth and clean spectrum from very weak to extremely strong. Beasts and monsters were not divided into six different Realms of power and thus there were countless beasts and monsters in between each Realm of power.

The hundreds of thousands of Martial Apprentices spent their time dealing with quasi- Apprentice-level beasts and monsters as well as quasi-Squire beasts and monsters. The latter were dealt with by the strongest of peak-grade Apprentices.

Squires dealt with quasi-Squire level beasts and monsters all the way up to quasi-Senior- level beasts and monsters.

Seniors dealt with quasi-Senior-level beasts and monsters all the way up to quasi-Master- level beasts and monsters.

And Masters were forced to bear the full-brunt of the quasi-Sage-level beasts.

BOOOOOOOOM!!! BOOOOOOOOM!!! BOOOOOOOOOM!!!

Master Knight Brigsby fired countless light beams one after another as he gritted his teeth, killing countless quasi-Sage-level beasts instantly.

And yet, only more came!

"ROOOOAAAAARRRRR!!!"

"KRIIIIEEEKKKKK!!!"

"RAAAWWWRRR!!!"

His eyes widened with horror as yet another wave of quasi-Sage-level beasts emerged from the depths of the Beast Domain!

No matter how many he killed, countless more emerged from the depths of the Beast Domain! "Damn animals!" he cursed as dozens and hundreds of light beams fired off into the distance, striking each clean in the head, killing them where they stood, only to be greeted by a thousand more.

BOOOOOOOM!!! BOOOOOOOOM!!! BOOOOOOOOM!!!

And that wasn't even the worst part.

The worst was that there were Sage-level beasts as well.

And they had finally reached the Britannian Empire

"ROOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!"

A mountain emerged at the horizon.

A primate so enormous that its head scraped the clouds.

Its head shifted towards the Britannian Empire slowly as it felt acute and faint senses of threat.

RUMBLE!!!

The world shook with each of its steps.

Its pupils dilated as its eyes fixated on the Masters of the Britannian Empire.

It experienced a single urge.

Hunger.

"FIRE!!!!!" the Imperial General of the Britannian Empire roared.

B00000000000000M!!!!!

B00000000000000M!!!!!

B00000000000000M!!!!!

The Apocalypse-class siege weapons of the Britannian Empire roared into action as thousands of destructive beams of light converged upon the primate, inflicting devastating wounds on it.

It was highly effective.

Each destructive beam struck perfectly, inflicting a critical wound on the mountain-sized primate. Blood gushed out of its wounds profusely as the creature staggered uncertainly.

Its fate was sealed.

The destructive siege weapons of human civilization may not be on par with Martial Artists, but they were more than enough to target large and unwieldy beasts and fell them decisively.

But not before the primate launched an attack.

A Sage-level attack.

WHOOOOOSH!!!

It inhaled an unfathomable amount of air into its lungs, causing a devastating wind current that would have flattened the Britannian Empire if not for the Masters protecting it.

Yet, the attack was yet to come.

B00000000000000MMM!!!!!

A devastating wave of wind emerged as the primate exhaled with all its might before it was felled by the destructive Apocalypse-class siege weapons of the Britannian Empire. "PROTECT THE EMPIRE!" More than a hundred Masters blazed with determination as they exerted the sum totality of their might to protect the Britannian Empire from the devastating Sage-level attack.

Had it been an attack from a Martial Sage, they would all most likely have died then and there. However, the attack from a beast was highly undisciplined, inefficient, clumsy, diluted, and dispersed across a large amount of area.

This gave them a chance.

A glimmer of hope.

The defensive Martial Masters deployed the sum totality of their defensive capital to withstand just a single percent of the power of the attack while the offensive Martial Artists chopped away at the calamitic gust of wind that threatened to wipe out the Britannian

Empire.

It was working.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!

Each Master contributed to the battle bit by bit, chipping away at the attack or withstanding a

piece of it.

Bit by bit, the attack slowed down while it grew smaller and smaller as they grew more

hopeful by the second.

"Yes!"

"Keep going!"

"We can protect the Britannian Empire!"

And yet, in their attempt to protect the Britannian Empire from the immediate destruction of

the Sage-level beast, they forgot about the Master-level and quasi-Sage-level beasts that

they were supposed to keep in check.

Pure horror appeared in their eyes at what unfolded the very next moment.

BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!!!

And just like that, the frenzied creatures destroyed the western border and western territory

of the Britannian Empire.

BOOOOOM BO0000M BOOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!!!

Their devastating stampede, wind blasts, flamethrowers, and other attacks wiped out all establishments within a hundred-kilometer radius of the Britannian Empire from the point of

entry.

An entire chunk of the Britannian Empire was wiped out in the blink of an eye.

Along with millions of evacuated innocent Britannian citizens.

They all died in a heartbeat.

And it was at that moment that the true horror of the apocalypse set into the heart of the

Britannian Empire.

Into the heart of human civilization.
