Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution

Chapter 339 : 339 Major and Minor Nirvana

```
Tian Xun told Lin Shen and Tian Xin that there were two paths to achieve Nirvana: Minor Nirvana and Great Nirvana.
Base Mutation and Ascension only required a step-by-step promotion, which was not very dangerous.
But the risk of Nirvana was much greater. The path of Minor Nirvana was slightly less risky, and if it was only the body that was damaged, there would be an opportunity to try again after recovery.
However, if one took the path of Great Nirvana, it was very likely that there would be only one chance. If one failed, the possibility of survival was almost negligible.
Minor Nirvana was relatively simple, following the same old path of raising the Base Mutation rate to one hundred percent, then seeking to increase the reincarnation count of the Life Base as much as possible, and finally finding a Nirvana Egg to have a chance at Nirvana.
Generally, Minor Nirvana would not be lethal, but the success rate was not very high, and there was another risk.
Some who succeeded in Minor Nirvana lost their previous memories afterward and their bodies became purely Nirvana Creatures, spending the rest of their lives living as such creatures.
This was because Nirvana Creatures themselves possess strong vitality and Spiritual Sense. Even a Nirvana Egg that had not yet taken shape could affect a person's Spiritual Sense during the process of Minor Nirvana.
If one could defeat the Spiritual Sense of the Nirvana Creature itself, then Nirvana could be completed.
But if one failed to defeat the Spiritual Sense of the Nirvana Creature or was overcome by it, the body would evolve towards being a Nirvana Creature and ultimately transform into one.
The better outcome might retain some vestige of human will, but the worse cases would completely lose their human will, their bodies becoming a mere vestment for the Nirvana Creature.
The stronger the chosen Nirvana Egg, the greater that risk would be.
Therefore, many Ascenders with relatively low strength and fewer reincarnations who wished to ascend to Nirvana would choose the relatively weaker Nirvana Eggs among those at the Nirvana Level to complete Minor Nirvana.
Even if they failed, the damage to themselves would not be substantial, and they would have the chance to try again in the future.
The difficulty of Great Nirvana far surpassed Minor Nirvana. It wasn't a problem that could be resolved by just one Nirvana Egg.
To complete Great Nirvana, one had to actively transform into a Base Variant Creature, start all over again, and ultimately be reborn into the Nirvana Level through Nirvana.
This process was much more complex than Minor Nirvana and required more resources and preparation. The rate of ultimate success was also very low.
Even the geniuses from the powerful and prestigious families might not survive Great Nirvana.
Some died without reaching the Nirvana Level after transforming into Base Variant Creatures.
Others lost their human consciousness during the process and became real Base Variant Creatures, devoid of humanity.
And some died during the process of Nirvana, unable to reclaim their human form.
The reason Tian Xun, despite her mixed heritage, was able to gain a seat in the Celestial Court, within the highly bloodline-conscious Celestial Race, was that she was a Great Nirvana Being.
To complete Great Nirvana, one must find an Origin Planet of Base Mutation.
The difference between Origin Planets of Base Mutation and Life Planets is that the former inherently lacks human-like beings and is the birthplace of Base Variant Creatures.
On those Origin Planets exist locations of Base Mutation where Ascenders can use the power of the land to reincarnate as Base Variant Creatures and evolve towards Nirvana as such.
There are varying qualities among lands of Base Mutation; some can only breed ordinary Base Variant Creatures, while others can nurture mutated ones.
Some lands can directly birth Ascended Creatures or even Nirvana Creatures. If one could find such a high-level land, it might be possible to reincarnate directly as a Nirvana Creature.
Of course, the higher-level the land, the more high-level creatures there would be on that planet, which itself brings more risks.
If it's a land that can breed Nirvana Creatures, there would likely be many Nirvana Creatures on that planet, and it would be questionable whether an Ascender could even survive long enough to reach the land.
Moreover, such planets are often under the control of powerful races, and obtaining the rights to visit them would not be easy.
Even if one could use such high-end lands, there remains one challenge: how to recover human form after Nirvana.
This process is generally completed during Nirvana. If one directly reincarnates as a Nirvana Creature, it becomes difficult to return to human form.
While not impossible, as some have succeeded, the difficulty is truly great, with a very low success rate. Most can only live the rest of their lives as Nirvana Creatures.
Naturally, the higher the level of the land of Base Mutation, the stronger the birthed Base Variant Creature will be, and if one completes the Great Nirvana there, their innate strength will be correspondingly greater.
Tian Xun, for instance, was reborn into the body of a Seraph of the Nirvana Level, which is why she is a very formidable existence among those at Nirvana Level.
Because she was reborn as a Seraph, the Celestial Race was also willing to tolerate her mixed heritage to such a high degree.
The Ascension Pool on Sky Pinnacle Star was in fact the Celestial Race's tremendous feat of excavating an entire land of Base Mutation from an Origin Planet and transplanting it within Sky Pinnacle Star.
By itself, the Ascension Pool could breed Ascended Creatures, and after the Celestial Race's modifications, it gained the ability to rapidly induce reincarnations of an Ascender's Life Base.
Tian Xun inviting Lin Shen and Tian Xin to use the Ascension Pool would also give them a taste of the experience of reincarnation within the land of Base Mutation. Although not complete, it was a valuable experience that would be helpful for their eventual pursuit of Great Nirvana.
The mention of an Origin Planet of Base Mutation made Lin Shen think of Ring Mountain Planet, which closely resembled what Tian Xun described as an Origin Planet. Those ring-shaped mountains were like lands of Base Mutation.
However, according to Tian Xun, although there could be many different lands of varying levels capable of birthing different tiers of creatures on an Origin Planet, it was unlikely there would be so many.
Therefore, Lin Shen wasn't certain whether the Ring Mountain truly was a land of Base Mutation.
"If Ring Mountain Planet really is an Origin Planet of Base Mutation and the Ring Mountain is a land of Base Mutation, does that mean I could directly enter the mountain and use that magma-like blue liquid to accelerate the higher reincarnations of Life Base? Or perhaps find a higher-level land to complete Nirvana there?" Lin Shen thought to himself.
"Using the Nirvana Level land of Base Mutation for Great Nirvana is very dangerous. I will try to allow you to use some special Ascension Level lands to reincarnate as Mutated Ascended Creatures. That's the safest and best path to Great Nirvana. However, such lands are mostly controlled by powerful families, and I also need time to arrange opportunities for you.
Fortunately, you have just ascended, and the Tenth Turn will take a long time," Tian Xun was already paving the way for their future Nirvana, and this trip to Sky Pinnacle Star was part of it.
