Broken shook his head in awe after equipping the Invincible Paragon set. The set provided a massive health boost, making it an ideal choice for a close-combat fighter in need of serious protection.
With this much health and the defensive skills granted by the Invincible Paragon, he could now fight up front with brutal endurance, even on his own.
Additionally, he now had new options to further enhance his resilience, including ways to conserve Mana with the Ring of Unlimited Skillz. Combined with the Spellweaver Chrono Booster a device that boosted his Mana by an impressive 3.5K-he could now unleash a range of skills with far less concern about draining his reserves.
Yes, this was truly overpowered.
He thought about pushing his upgrades even further, aiming for +18. That would be incredible. But seeing his remaining Blessed Stones, he wasn't sure he'd be able to pull it off. Maybe it'd be better to focus on boosting his Woodland Ranger set to +15 instead?
He sighed, realizing just how much gold these upgrades really drained. Even the merchant was running out of stock on Blessed Stones. Apparently, there were plenty of players who spent serious money on the game too.
"Ahem..." Oriana said, attempting to catch his attention. But Broken seemed oblivious, stepping out of the shop with heavy footsteps. The door shut behind him with a thud that echoed through the room.
"Eh?! What? Did he really not see me standing right here? This guy-seriously?!" Oriana muttered in disbelief. But surely no one could ignore her presence like that.
"Maybe I need to be more humble... speak to him more gently. That's it! Then he'll be willing to talk to me," she decided, frowning in frustration.
"Lady Oriana, please let me know if there's anything you need," the shopkeeper offered.
"Quiet!" she snapped, storming out of the shop.
Broken strutted along, decked out in his Invincible Paragon armor-a pitch-black base with intricate blue patterns, glowing with a golden-yellow aura. As he drew his Wavebreaker Spear, he noticed something new: thin, wave-like blue patterns appeared across his armor, shimmering like ocean currents.
"I didn't realize this armor could do that. Must be a feature that kicked in after reaching these upgrade levels," he mused, continuing his stroll down the streets of Deadbay City.
The moment he stepped out, every eye turned his way, drawn to the impressive glow and distinct colors of his high-level gear. People gaped, fully aware that getting armor with this level of upgrades required a small fortune.
From behind, Oriana called out, "Lord Broken..."
She approached with a friendly smile, stepping in front of him and stopping him in his tracks. Standing only as tall as his neck, she had to look up to meet his gaze.
"Lord Broken, I wanted to talk to you. There's something important I'd like to say. My name is Oriana. I am the daughter..."
"Lady Oriana, is there anything I can help you with?" he asked kindly, interrupting her flow.
"Uhm... I'm the daughter of..."
"Yes, you're the daughter of Viscount Sean, right?" he said with a slight nod.
Her eyes widened. "How do you know that?"
"You've mentioned it a few times now."
Oriana's expression softened as she giggled. "Ah, so you did hear me. I thought you hadn't noticed I was even there."
"Yes, I saw you, but... you didn't actually say anything to me," Broken replied.
"I did! I tried to have a whole conversation with you."
"Alright, then. Do you have some business with me?"
"Lord Broken," she said in a gentle tone, "I'm inviting you to a celebration dinner tonight at Deadbay City's town hall. We'll be honoring the victory we all achieved together, and others who helped defend the city will be there as well."
"Tonight?"
He hesitated. Parties weren't his thing-too often a waste of time and full of nobles he preferred to avoid. He paused, weighing the invitation.
Oriana quickly added, "You don't need to worry. We'll have the finest food and a grand banquet. This is a small way we can show our gratitude."
"I'll consider it," Broken replied.
"You should come!" Oriana insisted, then softened her tone. "Oh, all right, I'd be delighted if you could join us. I'll see you this evening, Lord Broken."
"See you this evening..." Oriana bid him farewell, bowing gracefully. But as she looked up, Broken had already disappeared.

In the evening, Broken finally yielded to Elincia and Ivana's persuasion, accepting the invitation to the celebration at the town hall. Both women had already chosen their dresses for the occasion.
It was the first time he had seen Ivana in such attire, and she looked absolutely stunning. She wore a gold dress with elegant black patterns, giving her an air of sophistication and grace.
"Don't stare at Ivana too long, Broken," Elincia whispered with a smirk.
Ivana smiled warmly. "Do you like it, Broken?"
"Yes, you both look... gorgeous," he replied.
Broken himself wore a black suit with thin silver stripes along the seams, and his Slumdon cape draped over his shoulders, adding a rugged touch to his formal look.
That evening, Broken, Ivana, Elincia, Kingsley, Melliandra, Optimus and Toberry were seated in the VIP section, alongside other notable players. Unfortunately, SexyGrill couldn't attend, as she'd mentioned she needed to leave Deadbay City soon, and SexyBloom was off somewhere, enjoying a vacation.
The town hall was alive with celebration. Music played, and dancers moved across the floor, creating an atmosphere of joy. Tables overflowed with food and drinks, available for everyone
to enjoy.
Yet one notable absence was Maylock, who had been instrumental in the recent monster defense. He couldn't attend due to his wife's poor health.
Ivana sat to Broken's right, while Elincia was on his left. Surrounded by the two radiant
women, he looked as though he were flanked by royalty, their grace and beauty drawing
admiring glances from everyone around.
"Broken..." Elincia whispered from his left.
"What?"
"Why don't you ask Ivana to dance? I'm sure she'd be happy to accept," she said, glancing toward the center of the room where several couples were already moving to the music.
"I don't know how to dance," he admitted, hesitant.
"You just need to hold her close and move with the rhythm. No fancy skills required," she encouraged with a gentle smile.
Ivana had overheard their conversation and looked over with a soft smile. "I'd love to dance if you asked me, Broken," she said warmly.
"Uhm...." Broken was momentarily speechless, taking in Ivana's elegance and beauty in a way
he hadn't before.
"Don't regret it if someone else asks Ivana to dance first, Broken," Elincia teased.
Just then, someone approached-a man in a magnificent blue suit. It was Orion, Viscount Sean's eldest son and Oriana's older brother. He strode forward with confidence, a benevolent
smile on his face.
